In all the z glory of his brand-new uniform he was introduced to a charming young lady, who enquired ( sweetly: “Are you in the Home Guard?” * * * It is reported that Hess expected to be given petrol and maps : in Scotland for his return trip to Germany. The poor fellow should have known that in Scotland on one is ever given anything.
