A GREAT DINNER.

FOR most of us participation in &■ traditional American festival unusual' and normally limited to screen shots of fireworks display on 4th i> July s :h THERE was something more substantial than ccllul -old/ scenes on Thursday night when Mauri© Corrie and the cook - house boys turned their hands to dressing and cooking twenty two turkeys f preparing the cranbuljy sauce., .peeling.,potatoes and making a good Joo .';the pumpkin, and peas,, all of which was finished off with fruit salad® It was a great- meal # How the Pilgrim'Famiers enjoyed their first mo al of turkey and cranbury sauce we do not know what the mGals on tho Mayflower were like wa do not know but ours was a fitting way to treat the turkey in New Caledonia® Q.J'% Suthax’l/:hd tells us that they cam:; over from the States plucked, but.•..'not dissed, ni’ TAILING of meals, Cordon'Maoala, who was with the.
