Sand-Devils
I saw strange wraiths of confuted dust Wind-swept across the barren sand, dissolving in a sudden gust Ts phantoms from an ancient land. Some bygone Pharaoh from the Nile Hay rove about his old domain "to find just one remembered smile, 7 et all his search would seem in' vain.
The shade of some forgotten queen May smile, may cry, may laugh, may
weep, scattered on the wild khamseen The golden dusts her secrets keep
