31 Aug Gen Sir Alan Brooke (C in C Home Forces) visits HQ 2 ( NZEF (UK) * at Mytchett. ’ 2 Sep HQ 4 Inf Bde leaves Maadi for Daba to take ’ f . over Lof C. 4 Sep Mr. Winston Churchill inspects Second Contingent at Mytchett. 18 Bn arrives Baggush and 19 Bn at Daba for L of C duty.
