AIR CASUALTIES
Pilot Officers Killed The following air casualties were announced recently. Pilot Officer W. S. Shaun, previously I reported missing, now reclassified as i missing, believed killed in action. Flying Officer William Baker Parker. ! previously reported dangerously ill ■ from injuries received on air opera- ■ tions. now removed from danger list. Father: Mr. E. S. Parker. Springlands. I Blenheim. Pilot Officer Ronald Arnold Hadley, i killed on air operations. Father: Mr. lA. H. Hadley, ' 101 Mackay Street ! Thames. Advice has reached the Rev. G. W. ! and Mrs. Hunt, Miramar, Wellington, that their younger son. Sergeant Pilot G. W. Hunt, has been killed in an air accident in England. Sergeant Pilot Hunt was educated at i Upper Hutt Primary School, where he : was the first scholar to be awarded a j Junior Free Scholarship, and at the | Hutt Valley High School. He was sub- ! sequently employed by the A.M.P. So- ! ciety. Before the war he joined the Civil Reserve of Pilots, being given his early . training under that scheme. He enlisted in the Royal New Zealand Air | Force shortly after war broke out and went into camp almost immediately. He went overseas a few months ago.
