DOG PARADES WITH TROOPS
When troops of the second echelon in training at Papakura were inspected by Major-General .J. E. Duigan, Chief of the General Staff, the mascot of C Company of the 21st (Auckland) Battalion, a pure-white Samoyede Husky named Noodles, was one of the most prominent figures on parade. During the inspection.- Noodles, wearing the khaki coat which lias ben made for him. stayed obediently at his master’s feet, but when the soldiers marched past the saluting base he raced out in front of' his-company, barked happily before the general, and generally behaved like a dog at a football match. Noodles has received official permis Siqn to accompany the echelon overseas
