BOXING GLOVES FOR CAMPS.
A first-class boxing ring has been provided by the sports sub-committee of the patriotic organisation for the Papakura Camp, but so short is the supply of boxing gloves that only eight sets so far have been secured. In view of this position, and the fact that boxing gloves are not manufactured in the Dominion, the New Zealand Boxing Association applied to the Hon. W. Nash, Minister of Customs, for a licence to import gloves to the value of £2OO, this being the cost of about 100 sets.
