Taxation has killed the old custom of laying down a cellar of port for a son when he was born/’ Sir William told the British Commonwealth Forestry conference. “If I could encourage the Australian people, when a son is born into the family, to lay down a plantation of trees, it would pay them a great deal more than port ever did.”—Alert.
