"Considerations ol Opposition, misunderstanding, political taboos and expediency must not deter US from expressing what surely ii the mind of Christ concerning the survival of the world for which He died " The Conversion of N.Z. "The Church's duty was to evangelise. It was painfully evident that the conversion of New /.aland was a necessity It was the experience ol Christian workers that, where the Church and home influences were impaired, sorrow and tragedy followed as a logical sequence. Juvenile delinquency was almost the invariable fruit ol careless and ungodly parents, and seemed to be naturally associated with hasty marriages and broken and unhappy I omes* Religion in Home "If ever the homes of our Dominion, with their fathers, mothers and children, needed tin sanctifying influence of religion, it is surely today. "There was no social evil more responsible for solid misery than the Liquor Trade. "Because it is such a growing evil, and one insidiously encouraged by public and private means, and by* subtle propaganda. I believe our Church should unequivocally reaffirm its historic opposition to it, and the necessity to oppose any extension of its baleful influence." Dr Dudley said
