BRITISH LABOUR PARTY CHAIRMAN
The newly-elected chairman of the British Labour Party is Miss M. Herbison, M.P, for Lanark N., Scotland, who has been the representative for that constituency for eleven years. Miss Herbison was Parliamentary Lender-Secretary for Scotland in 1950-51, She is a total abstainer and an active member of the Workers’ Temperance League.
