Newfoundland, the new province, sent a delegate, who came farthest of all Canadian delegates. The total sum of about £3,900 in round figures from a membership of some 9,500 women speaks highly of love and sacrifice. Puerto Rico “El Lazo Rlanco,” the Pan-American White Ribbon magazine, of which Mrs. Rivera is the Editor, publicises the statement that tea and nonalcoholic beverages are again coming into popularity at the White House, and it is believed that many Washington hostesses will adopt the same custom instead of serving cocktails. W.C.T.U. Headquarters Miss Frances Salisbury, of New Zealand, has been on more than one occasion to see us, and when possible attends public meetings held at National Headquarters She was a popular member of the I.T.U. Summer School and enabled New Zealand to he represented for the first time.
