NEW ZEALAND TEMPERANCE QUIZ, 1952
The results of the 1952 Temperance Quiz, conducted by the New Zealand W.C.T.U. are very satisfactory. There were 630 entries with 32 Ist class prize winners (91% and over) and 109 2nd class winners (80% to 90% inclusive). The Quiz material was prepared for the three grades by Miss H. Grigg of Auckland, while the questionnaires were set and marked for Grades 1 and 2 by Miss Aileen Neal and those for Grade 3 by Mr. D. Witheford, both of the staff of the Wellsford District High School. We would express our thanks and deep appreciation to M iss Grigg and to Miss Neal and Mr. Witheford for the splendid job they did and the large amount of wor*: involved, particularly in marking well over six hundred papers. Our thanks are also due to Mrs. J. H. Grigg and Mrs. F. J. T. Grigg, of Wellington, for purchasing and posting the prizes on behalf of the Officers.
