Mrs. Mountjoy to represent District at next Dominion convention. Several members to help m street appeals for the St. John’s Ambulance Association and Merchant Navy. A Christinas party to be held in December. Otorohanga, lfth Oct. Mrs. Kenny presided and Mrs. Rogers led devotions. A pianoforte solo was given by Miss Rogers. Mrs. Kenny welcomed Mrs. Toomer, who gave much inspiration and" joy with her address. She was presented with a beautiful i>osy by Miss Rogers. One new member gamed. New V.R. Supt. present and joyfully welcomed, benediction and afternoon tea.

Hastings, Sept. Brief report of District Convention at Dannevirke giver, and usual business discussed and then Miss Mildenhall, President welcomed home Mrs. Pitt, lately returned from a trip to England and World Convention of W.C.T.U Mrs. Pitt’s talk, with the personal touch, of that wonderful convention was most interesting. Mrs. Pitt recently elected District President. Meeting closed with the Benediction.

Oxford, 19th Sept. Birthday of Branch celebrated by good attendance with several visitors from a distance. Reports on District Convention at Waimate given by Mesdames Bowden and Woodcock. Remits to be sent to Dominion Convention re Sunday parades at 18-year-old camps and sale of alcohol to’drivers. Sydenham. 4th Oct., in the Baptist Hall. Mrs. Filer presided over an attendance of eleven members and one visitor. Members stood as a maik of sympathy with Mesdames Garlick and Sievers in their recent bereavements. Devotions were conducted by Mrs. Archer, after which routine business was transacted. Maori Day was observed by an address of outstanding merit given by Mrs. A. L. Dixon, who stressed the advantages and dangers of the pakeha way of life to our Maori jieople.

Inspiring and enjoyable meeting. Arrangements made for Band of Hope social and a Cradle Roll and Band of Hope picnic.
