(Unfermented) Cover 161bs. or less of dark grapes with water, boil until juice is well extracted —about three hours. Place in a jelly bag and allow to drain into an earthenware vessel all night. Do .not squeeze the hag. To each quart of juice add 111), of sugar, boil half an hour, then bottle L T se a quarter tumbler of juice and fill with water. Thanks to the “Weekly News.” To preserve the wine, or to use it for Communion purposes, dip the corks in hot wax when bottling it. —Levin.
