BOMBAY GOES “DRY” TOTAL PROHIBITION IN PROVINCE
The news from New DeJb: that Bombay had gone “dry,” was announced in the “Auckland Herald,” of March 31st, 1950. “Bombay, with three million inhabitants became the world’s biggest ‘dry’ city yesterday. At midnight all bars were compulsorily closed.
