President's Message

Dear Friends, — Let us give thanks for the opportunities for service, the service of prayer as well as the service of deeds: the news of Unions formed or reorganised: the outlook of forward “Y” work: the increasing interest in the scientific teaching as to the harmful results of the consumption of beverage alcohol. One could fill a page stating reasons for thankfulness. While we exercise our privilege, and duty, of thankfulness let us be keener than ever to do our part in wiping out this terrible drink evil.

Before we make any decisions as to the best requests to make to Cabinet Ministers, etc., let us be sure that the thing we are advised to ask for is really good, always remembering that our Fledge is to pray and work for the abolition of the liquor traffic, that traffic which destroys more health and happiness than any other one known factor, and which does nothing in return fqr that destruction except put money into the pockets of greedy people. We, who believe that it is not the will of our Father that any should “stumble or be made weak” through this deadly poison, must redouble our efforts, never doubting that victory will come.

Those who fight with God are those who win.

“We have God’s own promise and that CANNOT fail." With cordial greetings. Your friend, C. E. KIRK. Dominion President.
