METHODS DEPARTMENT

The following question was asked at Dominion Convention: — "Can you put in writing the way in which a Dominion Sui*rintendent should handle her worx? This includes her way, and time, of reporting.” Answer: When a Dominion Superintendent is apjiointed, her first duty is to notify the Unions of her appointr.ent. This can be done by a circular letter, or through “The White Ribbon." Then she should interest the Unions in the work of her department, and devise plans of work for its extension. This, too, can be done tin nigh the agency of “Tlie White Ribbon.” The Editor will he pleased to publish it, 1 am sure. An interested and keen superintendent will keep the work of her department before the Unions not only at Conventions, but throughout the vear.

Reporting: Before the Unions go into recess, at the end of the year, they should receive a Questionnaire, or a request for a report, say at the end of October, or the beginning of November. This is the best method of getting rcports in. If it cannot be done with a request for rejiorts in the October “W\R.,” a grant of i\ will be paid to Dominion Su;** intendents, if requested. That will help with typing and (lostagc. Where District Siq>erintendeiits are appointed, the rejorts given at District

Conventions should be sent to Dominion Superintendents. Xote: Dominion Superintendents must send their rei>orts to the Dominion CorresjKmding Secretary some time in December, to enable her to get the Su|*crintendents’ reports into the printers’ hands in time for the Dominion Convention. I hope this is clear, but ii' not, please write any further questions, and 1 shall be pleased to answer them. Yours in >ervn e, AM' KASPER.
