90th BIRTHDAY PARTY.

The Kaikorai branch of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union invited members of the Central, North-East Yalley, Green Island. South Dunedin and Mornington Unions to a musical afternoon on a recent Saturday to wish Mrs. Drr, our oldest member, who will be 90 in December, a happy birthday. We were very pleased to welcome Mesdames Long and Brun, of Wellington Central, and Mrs. Newth. of the Ricearton l nion. In welcoming the visitors, aliou: 76 in number. Mrs. Flett snoke of her long association with Mrs. < >rr, and of the help and inspiration her monthly talks are.

Mrs. Hiett (Dominion President), Mrs. Donaldson (District President) and Mrs. Green (VE.V. President) all spoke in glowing terms of Mrs. Orr’s life and work in the temperance cause. During the afternoon Mrs. Drr was the recipient of several floral tributes.

Yocal and instrumental solos and two choir items were rendered, also two recitations. Mrs. Orr delighted the audience with two recitations. Miss Adcock was accompanist.
