The year ending January 31st, I**44, was unusual as it saw tlie celebration of fifty years of franchise tor women ct New Zealand While many women were >tirrrd by those celebrations, discovering anew tin* work of the pioneers of 18**3, there was ap(>arently little or no increa-*c in our ranks during the year! There are fewer financial members judging by tlie figures of our rash statement. Possibly there are some fees that came too late for inclusion in the Treasurer’s statement, ami there are, no doubt. S4nm* uncollected fees, s<> that our actual mcmlirrship is unknown. Capitalism fees have lieen received for 4,025 adult ami 217 ”Y” members, ami for 833 Niue Island members.

Franchise collections are £ll/10 7 coni|«arcd with £l3/1/9 the previous \ear. Will branches please remember the Franchise collection at September meetings ami endeavour to make a little thank-offering for rights gamed for them fifty \rars ago.

Our (>rganismg Fund has a credit balance of £448. owing to a lack of organisers * I liojn- these w ill soon U available.

Headquarters bund shows a small credit balance, a legacy fnm. Mrs. Don hiving f •ecu jaid in. All the funds slmiw a credit balance, hut while tlie |iosition should gladden tin* Treasurer’s heart, ami does, one wonders whether we are making the most of our.educational opportunities

So other association can do xchat nr are />/rd</cd to do, so let us all wear our Badge—be friendly to those we meet —

Ik prc|ared to take our (art as mcnitiers of school committees, etc., and in social gatherings, ami commend our cause by a friendly word and a pithy leaflet *
