A WHITE RIBBONER VISITS PRINCESS TE PUEA AT NGARUAWAHIA.
The Maori sub-branch of the Red Cross, under the patronage of King Koroki and presidency of Princess Te Puea, with a membership of 2860, has handed in £561 for the year. This money represents the sale, of vegetables, produce, and the takings from small concerts. In addition to all this, Princess Te Puea has the care of her aged father, a* grand old Methodist. His very large sunny bedroom, with white, scrubbed floor, has stacks of clean, fluffy blankets, and mattresses sunning in front of large windows. These are ready for babies, for Puea, in addition to her other activities, accommodates orphan babies. 1 spent a delightful afternoon with her, and the telephone rang. “That is another baby/ ’and she prepared to go and collect baby in her car.
