President's Letter
My Dear White Ribboners,— The time for voting is fast approaching. We are standing in the breach. Ik* unafraid of the boastings of those who manufacture and sell beer. We know that in quietness and confidence shall be our strength. Please take particular note oi Mrs. Mitchell’s letter in this issue ~nd when you have done your part you can safely leave the results with God. There are very fine posters in the literature department. “1 he Statement of Facts” is doing good work where it has been circulated. Use it freely. Do your best to. get it into every Ilible Class and ask that it be read. Trustfully and methodically do what you can do, without fret or worry, knowing that you are about your Master’s business. You are the channel through which His will is done, therefore take no thought for the morrow, but yield yourself to our Lord who never calls us to service without Himself going before to make the way easy and safe. 1 read this from tiie “G.P. Chroncile,” which 1 will quote: “A buoy is fastened securely to a rock at the bottom of the sea. The waves splash around it; it floats serenely in its appointed place. The tide rises and falls; it is still there. The rollers come racing toward it, it mounts them one by one and rides upon them as they roll past. The temptest descends, the billows rush upon the little buoy, and for a moment it is submerged. But immediately it rises to the surface and is in its place again, unmoved and unharmed. What a picture of the conquering life. What a power and a privilege for a soul to be able thus to rise lightly above every opponent — every vexation, never to be overwhelmed with fear and doubt.” This is the security, friends, which we have in Christ. Ever your, for victory, JESSIE HIETT.
