AN APPRECIATION.
MRS. G. H. GRAHAM. Mrs. G. H. Graham, who recently passed to higher service, was a foundation member of the Waimate W.CT.U. She held office as President from 1907-M. When ill-health necessitated her retirement from that office, she held the cjffice of “White Ribbon” Agent for several years. For those who knew her personally she has left a fragrant memory. Her kindliness and cheerfulness endeared her to all. jl— The American Association for Ad- \ ancement of Science lias appointed a special council of distinguished scientists to deal with the alcohol problem, which they declare is one of the major perplexities of civilisation.
