DISTRICT EXECUTIVE
NORTH CANTERBURY. Mrs. C. W. Harrell presided at the monthly meeting of the Executive held on Wednesday, October 2nd. Fifteen Unions were represented Mrs. Woods and Mrs. Ramsay were appointed to represent the Executive on the Y.P.GT.U. £l/1/- donated to the Tramway Patriotic Appeal. Four members agreed to collect for the Health Camp Committee on October 30th. The President and members of Opawa Union were congratulated on the successful arrangements for entertaining District Convention. The following Superintendents of Departments were appointed:— Evangelistic: Mrs. H. W. Hall; Scientific Temperance: Mrs. Stokes; Feace: Mrs. Mackie; Membership: Mrs. Ellis; Philanthropic: Mrs. Black; Cradle Roll: Miss Shaw; Literature: Mrs. Ramsay; Pres«: Mrs. Preston; White Ribbon: Mrs. McLean; Ys: Mrs. Mackie; Rand of Hope: Mrs. Black; Bible in Schools (delegate): Mrs. Black. Twelve Unions reported activities for the month. Linwood has sent 200 new garments to Lady Galway Guild. R. WOODWARD. Hon. Secretary.
