Call for the World's W.C.T.U. Convention.

Th** Seventeenth Trienuial ConVfotion of the World s Woman s Christian Temperance Union la called lo meet in Friend* Meeting House, Kunion Hoad, Loudon, Kngland, Juno 13 to IK, 1940, for the put pose oi hearing the report* of the General Officer* and Superintendent*, for the election of (‘Acer*, and for the transaction of such other business a* shall properly coiue before the Convention. Membership in the Convention i* provided for in Article 6, Section 1, and Article 9 of the Constitution. The (executive Committee will meet at National Headquarters. We ask your prayers that long before the Coaventloa is called, I’race may l>e achieved throughout the world; that this gathering of women from many nations may cement world friendship and that the protection of the homes of the world from alcoholic liquor, with its farreaching effects, and from war with all its horrors, may be marked by real advance. The Woman's Christian Temperance Union in every land is an organization to promote social service, and a great Convention will strengthen the work and promote international justice and goodwill. We appeal to every one of the fifty-four countries now federated in the \\ or Id s \\ I'.T.C to l>< r• pn seated at this great meeting where our principles will he reaffirmed and emphasized. ELLA A.
