NON-ALCOHOLIC FRUIT DRINKS.
FRUIT ITNVH. A well tiii*d recipe for an exciting party:— One quart of grape Juice; 2 quarts of Vichy; one cup each of lemon and orange juice; 2 cups sugai; 2 cups shredded pineapple. Mix. la»t stand for 3 or I hours; :n rvt on a blin k of ii \ Thi? amount makes one gallon. FRUIT tVl\ Mix equal quantities of orange and lemon juice together; add a little sliced fresh fruit in tanaon. with sugar to taste; a dash of (irenadine; add soda water as lequired, and serve up well Iced.
SWEDISH FltriT DKINK. I'ut into a preserving pun any quantity of fruit mixed currants, goosei>errie», plums, small pours, windfall apples, black berries, etc. Add just enough water for it t«» peep through the fmit; lK)il gently until Juice is extracted from fruit. Place a jelly bug Ulow a coarse sieve, l>oth being over a large lias in, and rub fruit thitmgh sieve with wooden spoon Hear Juice runs through jell> Uig or hair si« ve. To every pint of juice add quarter of u pound or more of preserving sugar. I toil 5 or 10 minutes until syrup is clear; skim, t>ottle, and cork while hot. Add small quantity of water or soda water. Keeps Indefinitely if properly corked.
