ARE WE DOWNHEARTED? No! No! NO!
The Secretary of a small W.C.T.U. Branch felt down-hearted. The past year had recorded few' meetings, and those poorly attended. Most of the questions on the forms which were sent to l>e filled in were answered in the negative. Interest seemed on the wane. New members could not be gained; old subscribers w r ere falling out of action, etc. So the Secretary felt like giving up, and putting her little bit of energy into other work, and prayed about the matter, then decided to be guided by the interest taken in the next meeting. On asking a subscriber for subscription due, felt sure she would cancel order for coming year. Howdifferent things looked when the lady paid for 1932 in advance, and then six or seven meml>ers all came punctually to the meeting, and the sun seemed brighter, and God really seemed to put life into dry l»ones, and things were different. Let us each take hei rt and keep on. Discouragement is the Devil’s own tool. Don’t let him use it on us Sisters, Pray, Watch, Work, and, rhove all, Pray. MARTHA CAROL.
