Since Parliament rejected the Pill last session, many of our workers are taking: advantage of what is already Riven, and are introducing: the Nelson system, while waiting:, praying:, and working: for a more comprehensive scheme. Mrs Smith, Southland District President, approached their Board, and any Commit-

tee may now introduce this system, il they apply to the Board tor the necessary permission. The parents are first approached for their approval, and in every instance there is a huge vote in favour of Bible reading in our schools. I>ear Comrades, — The steady progress the Nelson system of Bible in schools makes, is. surely, a convincing proof of the great desire of parents to have their children taught the Word of God. Mrs E. C. Smith is to be congratulated upon her fine work in getting the Bible into the schools in Gore, and permission given for any Committee under the Southland Board to introduce it. An object lesson of what can be done by our Unions. A plebiscite of parents has been taken at the Onehunga I*ublic School. Result: 247 for the Bible, against 75, informal 15!
