THE INSULTED PIG.
As well as 1 remember. It happened in December, That I strolled along the road :n mordent pride. My heart began to flutter, And I lay down in the gutter And a pig came up and lay down by my side. My head was aching badly, And the pig looked at me sadly. Till a lady passing by was heard to say, "You can tell a man who boozes By the company he chooses.’ When the pig got up and quickly walked away. A little girl had been to church for the first time. On returning home, her mother aaked her what she thought of church "1 liked it very much," she rel>lii*d; “but there was one thing I didn't think was fair.” “What was that, dear?” asked her mother. "Why one man did all the talking, and then another man came round and got all the money.”
