BIBLE IN SCHOOLS A OAAJ TO PRAYER AND ACTION. During the active campaign going on throughout New Zealand for tin* restoration of the Bible to the priniar> schools, let us get to pru>er. dear sis t-irs. Prayer changes things! In regard to the circular letter 1 sent to all WC.TD. Secretar’es asking that meet ings l>e arranged as near as possible to May 29th. when a big demonstration was to be held in th-t Auckland Town Hall. I would like to state it was in full concurrence with the Organising Secretary of *he Bible in Schools League, who greatly desires that at the ordinary W.C.T.U. m?etmg, or a special meeting to further the Bible in schools cause, the following resolution hr put to the people: “This meeting views as inadequate th* present system of education, tiecause its entirely secular principle is a menace to moral and religious welfare, a danger to the i State, and an injustice to tin* child. It therefore demands from Parliament the restoration of the Bible to the primary schools While prepared to grant to Committees the right to continue the Nelson system wherever It may be at presem operating, it views as inadequate any system that does not place the Bible in the school curriculum and cannot Ik* applied to all the primary schools of the !>«»- minion.”

The opportunity of service to the children of New Zealai I who ran not help themseleves is with us.
