OUR SECRETARIES.
We present to our readers, photos of our National Secretaries, two learned ladies of whom the Union is very proud. Mrs Evans (nee Miss Edger) was the first lady in the British Dominions to hold a University degree. Site has been engaged most of her life in scholastic work, teaching and examining, and for many years was one of the examiners for the New Zealand University. A keen prohibitionist, pacifist and feminist, she is giving of her time and her talent to advance the cause of God, and Home, and Humanity. Miss Henderson retired about 14 years'ago from the teaching profession. She had been for a long time on the staff of the Christchurch Girl's High School. In 1313, she was elected Corresponding Secretary for our National Union. She has occupied the position of Dominion Secretary of the National Council of Women, of which Society she was also Local President. A keen sympathiser with Mission work, she was Dominion Secretary for the P.W.M.U., and still assists as Editor of their Harvest Field. AH her time and energy are given up to Church and Reform work. She is I>‘gal and Parliamentary Superintendent for the National W.C.T.U., and her vast knowledge of this branch of our work is always at the disposal of her colleagues. She is a valuable asset to our Union, and by her devotion to the work has won the abiding love of all the inner family circle who work in close contact with her. God bless our Secretaries and strengthen them for their arduous ami self sacrificing labours.
