ANIMAL WELFARE WEEK.

This was observed for the third tin* in this Dominion. Unfortunately, the date, Octol>er 25 to 31, was rather too election. Still the work w:is heartily t«ik<*n up by teachers, preachers, and S.i’.C.A. So cieties. The ITess generally cordially supported it. and several newspaper-, now run an Animal Column. Mrs Bathgate, our Band of Mercy Superintendent, lent every possible help to the Organiser, Mr Forbes. A better spirit is growing up among the children to their animal friends. More thought ,is being shown. We trust this Welfare Week may continue to grow in popularity and to teach our young people the law of kindness. The following is the balance-sheet: A NIM AI, W EI.
