ApiM .il on Itelialt ol New l*lynioulli Sailors last Fund. We all Iki\e come to Waitara To liave a helpful time. So I'll begin my little speech With a homely little rhyme. We hope to do a little good, To help our noble cause. We do not ask for worldly fame, Or t in morons applause. • We only want to do our pail In helping t hums along. To clear the way for stumbling t And help to right the wrong. So now, my friends, we’ll got to woik And see what wo tun do, To make New Zealand belli r. Her children strong and tru»*. We lio|m* to build a Sailors’ Rost To help our seamen brothers, And would on list the sympathy Of all you loving mothers. Wo*vo set the Kail n-rollmg By having Snowlmli teas. But you can ho|p tin cause along In any way you please. So sisters! up and got to work, Strike while the iron’s hot, Put all yoitr heart Into the work, Pave courage, and faint not. Vlwre’s such a lot of work to do, \nd such a few to do it. So put your shoulder to the wheel, And you will never rue it. For we are out to build a Rest And we’re going to build it; We want your prayers, we want yot help. And we've cotne here to win it. JKANNTE C. PR AY, Cor. Sec. W.C.T.U. New Plymouth. June 9, 1925.
