PEACE COMMITTEE.

The following resolutions were the outcome of the Peace (Vinmittee of the International Council of Women it th« ir quinquennial meeting. All are recorded in the ill ree official languages:— The International Labour Organisation. The International Council of Women recommends tint National Council give their earnest attention to the work of the International labour Bureau, and to place it upon the programme of studies for the coming year. European Kewuistruction. The International Council of Women welcome the reconstruction schemes that are being put into effect by the League of Nations, and urges that simi!*i. schemes Ik* put into force in other countries 'needing such help.

The ( o rt of International Justice. The I.C.W. requests members of the National (Vmncils to urge their n«p<-c tive Governments to accept, if they have not already done so, the optional danse in the statute for the Oourt of International Justice, declaring that they nre prepared to accept the jurisdiction of the Oourt in all disputes tha* niay come within the scope of the juridio;i 1 decision. The League of Nations. The International Council of Women hears with satisfaction of the efforts hit many of the National Councils are rooking to ensure the success of the of Nations. The I.CW. urges its constituent members to make every ■ ffort to promote the highest ideals of 'he I>eague and to use all their influ•nee to procure the speedy inclusion of n, l nations.

That with the view of bringing the I.C.W. into close touch with the differcut activities of the league of Nations, the Quinquennial Council Meeting shall consider the desirability of appointing liason officers to the International Committee on Intellectual Co-operation at Paris and at Home, and to any other institution where eollalstratioii would be suitable.
