Well, what is it? Why, the publics tion of more of the illuminating and entertaining letters written by Walter Hines I*age, the American Ambassador to Great Britain from 1913-18. W hen Page’s gieat biography was published a year or two ago, only some twelve letters to ITesident Wilson were available Since Mr Wilson’* death the remainder have lx»en rehoused for publication And whaft is good to learn, they ore appearing serially in the magjLzine, “The World of To-day.” That hiings them within t.he reach of everyone, for the magazine can be purchased for 1/11. post free. It is a monthly, and it will take six issues to complete the publics tion of the letters. The vivid pictures of British life and leaders were written do inform the President. They are a.< frank as they are sympathetic. Not only have they great historic imi>ort anoe, but the touches of humour and occasional banter only heighten tJi* brood understanding gpirirt in which th* letters were written.
