NEW BRIGHTON Y’s. June 12th. First annual meeting, Mrs F. M. Mitchell in the chair, and the attendance good, despite adverse weather conditions. Excellent reports were read by the Secretary and Treasurer, showing a substantial increase in membership and a good credit balance. The President of the W.C.T.U., Mrs H. Hall, addressed the meeting and congratulated the members on their year’s progress The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mrs F. M. Mitchell; Superintendent, Mrs F, If. Good; Vice-Presidents, Miss T. Buxton, Mr N. Campbell, Rev. F. T. Read, and Rev. J. S. Young; Secretary, Miss M Moses; TVoasurer, Miss A. Gibb; Press Reporter, Mrs Mitchell. Several items tendered by members. TOTARA VALLEY Y’s. June. Special public meeting was held, the occasion being Mrs I'km’s visit to the districts. Bouuuets were presented to Mrs Don and Mrs Norrie. District President, who accompanied the former. Items were given

Fruit supper was served at the close.
