Y.P. DEMONSTRATION.
A very fine entertainment was given by the Young People during Convention week. It was “Ti>c W.C.T.U. in song and story,” and was a series of pictures of our history past present and future. We hope to publish it fully next month, so will not say more about it now. The Young People excelled themselves. Miss Hilliker as usher, and Miss (Jwyn as President of Convention gave a fine interpretation and were heard distinctly all uver the building. Mr Hictt conducted the choruses, and Mrs Hutton was responsible for the staging and dressing. The girls were tastefully dressed to represent different countries, the Maori Haka brought down the house and was encored. The solos were of high order of merit, and the choruses went with a fine swing. The march of the old Crusaders was worth seeing, and all hearts were touched as that tried and trusty warrior, Miss Powell, surrounded by women who had founded the W.C.T.U. in New Zealand, read the Crusade Psalm and then marched out to the strains of “Give to the winds tny fears.’* Mrs Macartney appealed for it good collection. A young man worked the coloured lights and gave ,a beautiful effect to the various scenes
