ORGANISER'S REPORT.
I>ear Whitt Rlbboners, I closed my last report Ja*t as 1 was leaving Pleasant Uoinl in South Canterbury for Falrlif. The Fnlrlb Union had lieen organised "by Ttmaru sums mrnths previously. Some new mcmls-rs were gained; officers' books alrawn up. and a meeting held. Same of the members In this Union are very enthusiastic and have gained quite a number of new members. From Fat rile I went to W'aimate where ! sp» nt a few days. Mrs C, P.ish. President of the Walmate Uni on. kindly arranged a drawing room meeting In her beautiful new home, when som* r»0 ladies wert present, and nn address was given on our work. A numlaer of new members were secured. From Wairnate I went to Hamilton to attend the Convention, where I hud the pleasure of meeting so many White RiMtoner* again, and of hearing of the various Unions and of the progress and difficulties of the work. From Convention I went to Auckland, where I was eonsbh rahly delayed, owing to a letter going Astray, which was to prepare the way for me to visit Dsrgavllle. About a fortnight was spent nt I>arga ville. an<l quite a strong branch was organised there. I spent a <lny at Aratapu. about six miles from where a branch of our Union w« nt defunct about It years ago. Some of the ladies who had been members of that Union were quite eager to link up with Dargaville Union, and it is possible that a Union may Is- n organised at Amtapu later. Next I journeyed to Helonmrille, uad exped to be here till about the *Mh. A meeting is called for the fith.
1 am hoping to visit several of the scattered .districts within a few miles whilst here. The day was spent at Kuukapnkapa. seven miles distant, yes teruay. hut the district was much too s«*att *red to make organising possible. ‘Tom' , who are interested, have promised 'anmir into the meeting here, and will link up then. One of the old Residents of Kaukapukapa told me that there had not been a temperuiw* lecturer or meeting at Kauknpakapa for about 16 years to her knowledge.
I expert to remain In North Auckland province for some months. Mrs Hrett, 13 Panama Street, Arch Hill. Auckland, has kindly promised to for-
ward any left* rs, and I shall Is* glad to heai' from any friend* during the month. With greetings. Yours slnn rely, ALICE EARNBHAW.
