IN THE WA IRA RAPA. Miss Earnshaw has been working in the Wairarapa district this month, and has met with very gratifying success. Work was started in Carterton on No- \ ember Ist, and on November 10th a Union was organised with over 60 members. Since then increased to 70. The inaugural meet.ng was held on Wednesday, 10th, and in spite of a howling southerly gale and a tropical downpour, a fine attendance was present. Miss Moncrieff presided, and Mrs Peryman spoke on the aims of the Union and the need to have one in every place. An initiatory service was held, and the following officers were elected:—l res., Mrs Peryman; VicePres., Mesdarries Wilson. Tippler. Welch, and Miss Young; Cor. Sec., Mrs Knutson; Rec. Sec., Miss Braithwaite; Treas., Mrs A. Anderson; “W.R ” Agent. Miss Tyler. Miss Earnshaw is now helping the Masterton Union.
