MAORI WORK.
Superintendent: Mrs Walker. Again a difficult year; no regular organiser having yet been obtained. I have had an immense amount of correspondence for the s.tme reason, as it is so important not t«» let interest die, and to keep in touch, through corres nondence and literature with those Unions that are anxious to work. Mixs Woodhead kindly visited the Northern Unions for us lately with immediate good results. I have sent out this year 1(145 of our Maori leaflets, with English translations, where required, about 40 Cradle Roll cards, and yo pledge cards, also Rules and writing blocks to those Unions that arc working, and have written over 120 letters besides. Palmerston North, Whangarei, Pahiatua, Kati Kati, and Wanganui East Unions, also Mrs I.unison, Mrs Clausen, Mrs Little, Mrs Jarvie, Miss Maunder, and Miss Gaus’ad have distributed literature. Native Unions. Arapaoa reports iq members, Ornawhero to, Oturei 8, Poutu fi, and Otamatea 20, making fit financial members for this year. Great credit is due to these Unions for holding together under many difficulties. and we hope to see delegates from them at Convention.
