OUR FORWARD MOVEMENT.
Convention decided that the W.C. T.U. of this Dominion has been marking time for long enough, and now we arc starting forward in a grand effort to secure National Prohibition as a war measure for the period ot the war and demobilisation Convention considered this matter long and thoughtfully prayerfully was their decision made. National Prohibition :s a grand ideal. In the wordr* 'if our departed leader: “It is worth living foi and worth dying for. Ihe Dominion Convention has sit r.p this ideal, will every Union and ever) member work to the uttermost to transform the ideal into the actual. At the Intercessory Service we felt that Cod was with in our great effort. and with His help, victorv ;s certain. We have asked great dungs from God, let us cxpc< t g.vat things. Work for great things, pray for great things, and assuredly God will honour our faith. Mrs Lei-Cowic :s to organise this effort, and below is a lettei from her with suggestions tor Unions. White kibbonors think Prohibition, talk Prohibition, work for Prohibition, pray for Prohibition i.U Prohibition becomes an accomplished fact. The Strength of the Nation Movement. Will every Branch please let me know at once how non \ 1 pi< of the Manifesto will be required to present in their district to every Church gathering, employee s’ federation, Trade and Labour Organisation, Patriotic Committee, Si bool Boarl, Town Council, Medical Cong less, IV.u hers’ Conference, V.M.C.A , Y.W.C.A., etc., This great forward movement must be pushed through without a day’s 6< % - lay for while we delay souls die. The first great effort must be to call every Church and religious organisa* t ; on to fervent united prayer for God to guide. Every W.C.T.U. member must continue in nightly prayer to God until the victory is won. The next step is the distribution of t^C"Manifesto as suggested above.
