Bishop Taylor's biographer says: “John Wesley claimed the world as lus parish, but Bishop Taylor ber the boundaries of that parish.” White Kibboners in Convention assembled sing “All round the world our ribbon white is twined,” and our W.C.T.C. world’s missionaries are going into every land, taking with them our white ribbon, and entwining its motto, “l or <•«>cl and Home and Kverv Land,” around the hearts of our sisters the wide world over. From far north Finland, where women are e 'mitted to the Legislative Chamber, to our own Southern islands, with their enfranchised womanhood, from Western America, where State alter State is granting political equality to the sexes, to the far Fast, where our Chinese sisters arc- petitioning for the vote, women are awakening to claim their rights and privileges, and to shoulder their responsibilities.

In Cape Colony our Unions are working to secure the- expulsion of liquor from military camps. Their Defence Act came into force the 1 beginning of this year, and mothers arcrealising how neccssarx it is that the boys in camp shall be- protected from the liquor bar. To Mrs Stevens, on her birthday, flashed the- tm-ss age: “Praise (iod, the Mouse, as well as the Senate, has parsed the Ibll over the- President’s veto.” All honour to the American statesmen who so nobly demonstrated the- fact that the united Christian forces of America are stronger than the- united Liquor in tcrests. New Zealand, too, has a tight before her to banish the liquor bar. When 55 per cent, of the electors of any country vote to destroy a national evil, then the death warrant of that evil i' signed, though the- execution may be delayed. Our Convention endorsed the “Hare Majority Campaign” of the N.Z. Alliance. W ill all members of our Union loyallv suppor* this resolution of Convention, and vork and pray for victory?
