TAKE TIME TO REST.

Very few women, 1 think, reallv grasp the true meaning of rest. Thev feel the need of it, that is unite evident ; thev even admit the importance of it, but they grudge the time given to it. There is so much to be done. The days, no matter how long, are never half ’ *ng enough, and so that hour’s rest, so much needed, is ignored, or at best compromised, and some domestic dutv is done during the so-called hour of rest. This is pure farce. It is playing fast and loose with the matter, and the woman who onlv allows herself this scant apology for relaxation is simply fooling herself, and she is fairlv certain to grow old much earlier than if she had dealt more wisely with herself. The breakneck pace, the no-stop system, is fatal, and then when age, with his stealing* step, hath clawed von in his clutches, it will be rather late in the dav to talk about trying to keen juvenile, won’t it ? You mav perhaps—l don’t sav von will—but you may plav pranks with vourself without suffering while voting. However, when a woman gets to, sav, fortv or thereabouts, she must turn over a new- leaf and take at least some little care of herself, unless she wants to feel as threadbare as a moth-eaten mat, and to look “as haggard as a murderer.— “Good Health.”

Self reverence, self knowledge, self control—these three alone lead life to sovereign power —Tentivson.
