New Zealand W.C.T.IJ. convention, l()il. The da to on which our Dominion Convention opens—March 22nd—has boon fixed upon thus early. l»v tlie New Plymouth I’uion ami the Executive, that members may arrange to ho free to attend as delegates, if appointed by their Unions. Our Southern sisters gave a warm welcome to all who were present at Invercargill lust February. An equally hearty reception may he anticipated from the live Union at New Plymouth to all who are privileged to attend. Maori Dominion Convention. Arrangements are being made to hold the first Dominion Maori Convention early in the New Near. Paki Paki, Hawke’s Bay, will probably be the place
fixed upon, in which the New Zealand President Mrs Cole, Phristchureh . and other prominent European workers, with Maori delegates, will congregate. This will he the beginning of a new era in the Native W.O.T.r. work, and should further aggressive work among those districts still without branches. Never before have there been so many of the native race interested in the world-wide work, originated by Frances \\ illard, ami which is designated by a badge of w hite ribbon. Registration. ()w ing to alterations having to be m. ide to the “ Rules,” it has been found impossible to register our New Zealand In ion this year, as the Executive have no power until the necessary modifications have been discussed at the forthcoming (’onvention. New Zealand I reasurer. To the great regrot of the Kxecutive, Mrs McCombs is compelled to resign tin* duties ol N X. Treasurer, owing to pressure of home duties. Mrs J. Ih ndely, 11 Stoney hurst Street, < 'hristchurch, has kindly consented to act until the < Convention in March. Will all Treasurers tuko note of this.
World’s Convention. We have received a copy of tin* Report of the Eighth World’s W.C.T.U. Convention, held in Glasgow June Ith to 11th. It comprises JIJ pages, and contains the full text of the work of thirty-four Departments. All workers in the Dominion should obtain a copy for reference, as it includes the names and addresses of World's Officers, Superintendents, and Missionaries; also the declaration of the Principles of the World’s W.C.T.I ~ its Constitution and By-Laws. Copies are to be obtained at lOd each, from Miss Slack, Ripley, Derbyshire, England.
