Our Illustration.
The subject of “ our illustration ’ this month is Mrs McAlister, N.Z. Superintendent of the Anti-Gambling department of the W C.T.U. Mrs McAlister’s early home was in Timaru, but since her marriage she has lived in Invercargill, the local Union of which town she
soon joined. For three years in succession Mrs McAlister was elected president, and under her capable and sympathetic guidance the membership increased and the Union prospered. Mis McAlister has also done good service on the committee of the “ Victoria Home for Friendless Girls.” These public duties and the care of her five fatherless children, make her life both busy and profitable.
