The Hon Harriet G. W. Wright, of Denver, introduced and had in charge a Bill for the building of an Industrial Home for girls. This passed, appropriating £SOOO for the building, thirty acres of land, and £\ooo for the netexpenses. The other bills introduced by Mrs Wright became law. The first is an Act to prevent the employment, at manual labour for hire or wages, of children under fourteen years in any factory, shop, mill, store, salesroom, mine, smelter, or manufactory of any character, while the public school of the district is in session. Another grants to voters of election precincts of 7000 or more inhabitants, the right to determine by ballot at election whether licences to sell liquor shall be granted. Still another relates to the payment of the actu d expenses of the boirds of County visitors. Other hills introduced by Mrs Wright failed of p issage —one relating to public utilities (water works, gas, electric lighting &c.) One to amend the school election law; one pertaining to the appropriation for dependent Children ; and the eight-hours Bill. A Bill was introduced by Mrs Mary F. B arry, of Pueblo, as follows: Section 1. all property acquired or accumulated after marriage by either the husband or wife, or both, except such as may he acquired by descent, devise, or bequest, shall be considered community property. Section 2. Neither husband nor wife shall mortgage or incumber community property, without the written consent of the other party. 1
