The White Ribbon: FOR GOD AND HOME AND HUMANITY Monday, May 15, 1898. Editorial Notes.
In the N Z. woman's world of the past month the meeting of the National Council has overshadowed all other events. We need scarcely, therefore, apologise for the absence of our leader, news of Unions, and other matter, owing to the space devoted to the report of Council proceedings. . • * • Those who were present designate the gathering as one of the brightest and
most useful of the meetings of the National Council yet held. The proceedings throughout were characterised by great earnestness. The debates showed considerable logical power on the part of the delegates, t hey also evidenced the fact that valuable information had been collected anent the subjects discussed at former meetings; whilst the large attendance ot the public at many of the sessions made manifest the general interest felt in the deliberations of this Woman's Parliament.
