The balance-sheet showed an increase m offertories, and a large increase m subscriptions to stipend .fund. A vote of sympathy with the family of the late Canon St. Hill was passed, and it was decided to place the memorial window opposite to the memorial window to Mrs St. H.tll m the chancel. Mr A. Warden was appointed Vicar's Warden. Mr Quartley was re-elected People's Warden. The five Vestrymen elected' were :— Messrs W. J. Symonds, Geo. Sherwood, J. H. Williams, R.J. Smith, C. A. Fitzßoy. ; The meeting at Clive was held on the 3.'Btb. The accounts there were also m a satisfactory condition. . A similar vote of sympathy with the family of the late Canon St. Hill was passed. The Lactes' Committee .reported that they had bought a new carpet for the sanctuary at a cost of £10, and they wished to give their balance m hand of £3 9s 9d to the Font Fund. It was then decided to place a font m the church as a memorial to. Canon- St. Hill. The five Yes. trymen- elected were : — Messrs R. Bateman, H. Lawton, W. Cushing, A. R. Noble-Campbell, A. K. Cotterill. -Mr ~W- Cushing was appointed treasurer. Mrs Sinclair was appointed- organist from July Ist, and TMr George Thornten received a hearty vote of thanks for his services as organist during the past year. The ladies of Havelock are preparing for the annual social, which is held soon after "the parish meeting, and this gives the Vicar and : Churchwardens the opportunity of addressing a large gathering on subjects" of interest m connection -with the parish, as well as proving a means of social intercourse. This, we think, is a better plan than having the social gathering on-, the evening of the parish meeting.
