THE 40th ANNUAL FESTIVAL OF THE GIRLS' FRIENDLY SOCIETY AND ANNUAL MEETING OF THE G.F.S., WAIAPU DIOCESE.

The festival was held m St. Augustine's Church, Napier, on Saturday afternoon, 17th October, 1942. Canon Wilfrid Williams took the service. The Right Rev. Bishop of Aotearoa, gave address which was based on the Society's motto: Galatians 6, "Bear Ye One Another Burdens," and ended on the note of giving fellowship and love.

Following the annual meeting, a social hour was spent during which afternoon tea was served. There were over 40 present.
