There was a very happy and wellattended meeting of Synod lasting feom Thursday, October 9th to Monday, October 13th> For a wonder /there was no contest for the seats on Standing Committee and the' following were returned:-— , Clergy. — Archdeacon Hodgson, Canon Stephenson, the Reverends W. ' Three bills were passed, one to make Waipawa a parish, | one to, authorise a loan of £2000 to the Parish of Hastings, and one to remove an anomaly or an irregularity or a grievance m one of ..our own Diocesan Canons.
