CORRESPONDENCE.
(To The Editor, The Waiapu Church Gazette.) Dear Sir, — Here is my brief reply to "One Who Loves His Brother Men." , Christ has shown us that
He loves sinners more than His own life; but he hates sin. Sin is nonconformity to God's will, and His revealed way of worship I hate nonconformity for this reason; yet I try to love all non-conformists, and must plead being one myself, although I am not a member of the AngloCatholic Party. One of man's most redeeming features is that he can fight loyally for the Holy Catholic Church m spite of his non-conform-nity to its, and therefore Christ's ideals. Ninety per cent., at least, of marriages solemnised m Lent have no other excuse than that self-pleas-ing is preferred to the Way of the Cross. The Cross is not a symbol of sloppy sympathy, but of the undying love of God. Ido hope your correspondent who pleads his case so well will be able to appreciate this aspect of the case. The hard Cross alone can save humanity. C. G. G. SALT.
